4 – Quotes to promote Self-Healing

A spiritual awakening is a profound journey into a deep connection within yourself that brings to the surface the vibrant colors of your soul.  You may not have even intended to start a journey such as this but instead, the awakening called you.  You felt a calling to walk this path and seek a deeper spiritual connection.  This path is not always clear, in fact, it is like looking into dark shadows without names or faces that reside within your soul.

Your unconscious starts to peek through the gray clouds and fog that filled your mind and brought uncertainty and confusion.  As you stumble through this fog, you discover trees within the forest of your mind,  trees that somehow have deep roots that you have never known about.

These trees are portions of your being that have lived in the unconscious fog.  Be kind to these portions, for they are trees that have deep roots, thoughts, emotions, and meaning in your life.  You are not a lumberjack, who has entered the forecast to remove the trees that seem as unfit or diseased. Instead, you are a botanist studying these trees to understand what they are, why they are there, how they grow, how they survive, and what makes them thrive.  If have embarked on this journey through this forest, then you know the confusion, pain, joy, and challenges that riddle this path.  I have found hope, guidance, and encouragement within the quotes below.

First: remember you are completely normal, you are loved, and there is a purpose for this hard journey.

  1. “There’s no coming to consciousness without pain.” – Carl Jung

Pain – emotional pain, physical pain, spiritual pain – all growing pains.  Take time to learn about self-care.  Learn how to walk through this pain, acknowledge this pain, and talk about this pain.  The pain is necessary, but you will make it through the pain.  Be proud of yourself.  Take moments to remind yourself that pain is part of the journey and you are worth understanding, sharing, and acknowledging your own pain.

2. “Wholeness is not achieved by cutting off a portion of one’s being; but by integration of the contraries.” – Carl Jung

If you think of yourself as having multiple parts with differing views on life that tug you in different directions of your life, then you have an awareness of the different streams of your consciousness.  You are now seeing the trees within the dense fog that has covered the forest of your mind.  Wholeness by integration of all these parts is a profound spiritual, intellectual, and emotional journey into a deep connection within yourself.  Seek to achieve wholeness by understanding these trees as contrary parts within yourself and allowing these parts within you to live in harmony.

3. “We cannot change anything until we accept it. Condemnation does not liberate, it oppresses.” – Carl Jung

Through acceptance, there is peace and harmony that allows and promotes growth.  Condemning those contrary parts is oppressing your true authentic self.  Learning how to accept all your parts can be hard, and takes courage and deep compassion for yourself.  Explore and develop how to practice self-love.  Only once we have true compassion and self-love do we become willing to accept all our parts.  Develop your deep desire to be authentic within yourself and share authenticity with others.  Showing up in life as your true authentic being is liberating.

4. “Your visions will become clear only when you can look into your own heart. Who looks outside, dreams; who looks inside, awakes.” – Carl Jung

Every journey is individual.  For most of our lives, we let the world define what should make us happy, what it means to be successful, and what means to have a fulfilling life.  Society tries to define all these qualities in our lives; however, society never really asks you – “What gives meaning in life to you?”.  Everyone has a unique blueprint on this earth and to totally awaken one has to look inward.  We have to question all the programming that has been pushed on us through external sources.  Really look into your own heart to see what is going to bring you peace, what is going to bring you joy, and what is your purpose and path in this life.  Only, when you truly look into their heart can you awaken your authentic self.

The journey to the depth the soul is a long road but it does not have to be lonely. You are cherished in your moments of struggles and your successes.
